ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Memories and messages, along with some gentle satire, form the
basis for my acrylic/collage paintings. I perceive everyday
reality as a tapestry made up of visual impressions which I
attempt to weave into whole images. To this end I blend collage
elements with the painting media - this results in a unique
technique that offers the viewer several perceptual layers to
be discovered. People in all sorts of ordinary activities
forms the basis for these personal whimsical narratives
that can not only amuse but can offer a thought provoking experience.
In addition to the above, I also enjoy exploring the
world of animals, landscapes, historical, and Judaica
subjects. These can be in various media and styles,
ranging from realistic, romantic, cubistic and impressionistic.
Color and colorful themes continue to spark my imagination and
my desire to communicate my art.
